Swansong?

This guy plays the song of our warming planet. A more detailed explanation can be found here, but I think the music speaks for itself, really. We have to stop this trend!

How the Tesla Model S is Made

I would love to have a Model S :-)
As I said before, I drive a Toyota Prius now, but, however good that car is, it is more complicated than I feel should be necessary. The drivetrain of that car contains two motors: a petrol engine and a electrical one. While the engineers of Toyota did a great job in joining the two motors (you really can hardly feel when the petrol engine takes over from the electrical one), it is more complicated than only a electrical engine. That should be simpler, cheaper and more easy to maintain...?

Toyota goes into electric racing as well

As proud owner of a Toyota Prius (which drive great, and gives me 28km/l milage!) I am pleased that Toyota is making the headlines with electric driving. Electic driving is the future, any way you look at it.

Articial maps of non-existing places...

This man uses various technics to create 'maps' of non-existing cities. It looks kinda real - but not quite :-)

Faces out of the shadow...

This man makes faces - not out of paper, but out of the shadow the paper casts... love it!

Beautifull work from Mademoiselle Maurice. I love the way she uses colorfull paper to create a negative of a form... The piece not being colored actually creating the form :-)

Makerbot Robo-hands

This did not bring tears to my eyes...  but it got close...
Of course, 3D printing is very fine to create chesspieces and stuff like that. Not using professional printers, those are capable of much more! But the Makerbots and more DIY-printers are mostly used for 'toys'. Not so in this movie. It shows you can use those printers to do precisely the same things as the professional ones: create amazing products - with very little cost!

Levitating Superconductor on a Möbius strip

This is, excuse the pun, supercool!

It combines some very cool stuf: superconducting, magnets, levitation and a möbius strip! Practical applications? None, as far as I know :-)

This reminded me of a older video about möbius strip, this one made from music:

This video takes some time to watch, but bear with it till the end - it is worth it to see the musical genius of Bach visualized this way.

Strandbeesten - in metal!

This is a "Strandbeest" bij Theo Janssen - remade in metal, looking, kinda.. mean? But slow - fortunately, because I would not like to see this coming at me at 60 KPH :-)

What a drummer...

Wow. Just wow. The way this man streams his thoughts to the drums is amazing...
